KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Miguel Cabrera makes the blows so easy
Like Thursday night, when a 38-year-old 39-year-old woman turned 3 against 4 on Monday. The Detroit Tigers defeated the Kansas City Royals 4-2 at Kaufman Stadium.
Cabrera has made 2,944 hits in his 20-year career at MLB, with six avoiding becoming the 33rd MLB player to reach 3,000 hits.
“If we want to be good this year, we have to win in our division,” Cabrera said on Thursday. “We have to play good baseball, try to play more than 0,500 points to be allowed to reach the playoffs.”

Royals starter Zack Greinke fed the Cabrera at 89 mph in the second innings. The double MVP broke from the first court, then punched the second to the left in his first single.
In the fourth, Cabrera launched Grainke’s first 84-mph slide. He then adjusted to the ball at a speed of 71 mph, putting the ball to the left for his second single.
“I had a really good idea of what he was going to do with me,” Cabrera said. He has met Greinke, a 19-year-old MLB 19-year-old veterinarian, 42 times since 2007, with an average of 0.300 strokes.
Cabrera scored his third shot in the sixth, this time against right-hander Colin Snyder. Again, he made two pitches. He swayed, “slipped to the perfect bottom” and slid away 85 miles per hour. The next playground, near the outer edge of the 94-mile hitting zone, became a single on the opposite field.
“The three hits are great,” said Tigers starter Casey Miz. “He’s approaching, so I’m looking forward to the 3,000 coming.”
Cabrera has 16 career games with at least three hits against Real Madrid, more than any active player. In 109 games at Kaufman Stadium, he boasts an average of 320 (134 hits) – 23 doubles, 19 home runs և 90 RBI.
“I feel like you can get a lot of hits at this stadium, because it’s really big,” said Cabrera. “You don’t get a lot of home runs, but I like to play ball and see what happens.”
Cabrera opened the 2022 season by scoring 318 (7 vs. 22) with one double, three RBIs, two steps and seven shots in seven games. He was not in the starting lineup for Wednesday, a scheduled day off, but appeared in the eighth innings as a precise shot.
Detroit is 3-4, and Cabrera has at least one shot in each of the victories.
“We are fighting,” Cabrera said. “We come to play every day. I think that’s really possible. “We are ready to play every day. I think we can do a lot on the pitch and win more games.”
The Tigers play three games at Kaufman Stadium before returning to Comerica Park, where they will play six games in a row at Kaufman Stadium. New York Yankees (Tuesday-Thursday) և Colorado Rocky Mountains (April 22-24).
BIG FLY: Tiger star Miguel Cabrera makes history with his 500th home run
With six more hits, Cabrera will become the seventh player in MLB history to run 500 500 home runs, 3000 3,000 hits alongside Henk Aaron, Willie Macy, Eddie Murray, Rafael Palmeiro, Albert Puchols and Alex Rodriguez.
“I was lucky to see it,” said Jonathan Schup, a Tigers second base employee. “I saw Adrian Beltri (he received 3,000 hits in 2017). I gave him the ball. He got a double և I gave him the ball. So I saw him, and now I’m going to do it again. “
Unlike the pursuit of 500 Homers, Cabrera does not feel much pressure to reach this milestone.
Single, he said, is easier than home running.
“I’re just trying to focus on every tooth, every playing field,” said Cabrera, who has 502 homers. “Just do not try to pressure me, get out of there. “Just go out and something will happen.”
There is something else that keeps Cabrera on the ground.
That’s his winning mentality.
“I try to go out there and play my best baseball,” said Cabrera. “I know there is a lot of pressure. I know there are many views on me. But at the same time, I’m in a good position now. I’m glad to be here. I hope we can win more games. I think it’s more important. “
